In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and technologists on projects for a range of public and private sector clients. The role includes design and construction management on water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects, typically including:

  • Hydraulic analysis of water and sewer systems
  • Capital planning for water distribution and sewage collection systems

Civil Engineering Technologist

Water Street is looking for an experienced full-time Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Vancouver office. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and technologists on projects for a range of public and private sector clients. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment and who is looking for the opportunity to grow within a local employee-owned company.

The role includes drafting, design, and construction management on water infrastructure planning and design projects. Typical duties for this role include:

  • Preparing engineering drawings using Autodesk software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit).
  • Completing on-site construction reviews and contract administration.
  • Calculating material quantities, preparing cost estimates, and providing technical assistance to design teams.
  • Preparing presentation graphics and report figures.
  • Coordinating drawing packages with other engineers and project managers.
  • Working collaboratively with engineers and technologists on multi-disciplinary teams.
