Richmond Industrial Centre Stormwater Management

Year:

2021-2022

LOCATION:

Richmond, BC

CLIENT

Omicron AEC

Project Description:

Water Street was retained by Omicron to provide stormwater management planning for the proposed Richmond Industrial Centre (RIC) development, located in Richmond, BC.

Water Street’s scope of work included developing a stormwater strategy for the development. The strategy included conveying runoff from the development into the City of Richmond’s stormwater network, split into the No.6 Road and No. 7 Road pump stations. No increase in water levels in City infrastructure were permitted during the design storm event, so underground stormwater detention basins were proposed to reduce peak flows from the development.

Water Street also provided detailed design and construction support services for the design and installation of a number of large stormwater detention systems. These systems were designed to manage stormwater and reduce peak flows discharging from the site during a storm event.
