David Ave Pump Station Ventilation Upgrades

Water Street, working with SMcN and PBX, designed a ductless cooling/heating system for the City of Coquitlam’s existing water pumping station at David Avenue. The work was completed by Fortius Mechanical.

The project replaced the existing passive ventilation and electrical heating systems in the pump room and mechanical room. The existing ventilation and heating systems were retained for backup. The upgrade will reduce peak temperatures in the station during the summer and reduce winter/shoulder season heating costs. The system will also reduce dust and pollen brought into the station during the cooling season.
