Project Description:

Water Street managed the assessment of the existing odour control system and available technologies for upgrades at the Manor North Sanitary Pump Station, employed by the City of Delta.

The Manor North Sanitary Pump Station plays a critical role in managing sanitary flows for the City of Delta. As the largest station in Ladner, large sanitary flows make it essential to mitigate odour related issues, ensuring a healthy environment for station operators and the surrounding community. Despite having an existing odour control system, the City of Delta received complaints from surrounding residents, and some components of the existing odour control system had reached the end of their service life.

Water Street provided an analysis of existing odour control components, including their uses and service life timelines. Water street compiled a compilation of current odour control technologies, and performed a high-level cost analysis between different technologies.

Water Street recommended Continental Carbon’s activated skid mounted Odour Control system. Water street subsequently worked on preliminary design work on the chosen system, including preliminary drawings and more advanced cost estimates.
