Old Norrish Intake Decommissioning – Temporary Flow Diversion

Water Street was retained by Quattro Constructors to provide a temporary flow diversion design on Norrish Creek, located in the north-east of Mission, BC. The diversion included multiple phases to provide working areas for the decommissioning of an old intake structure and upgrades to a separate existing intake structure. The magnitude of flow being diverted ranged from 15 to 55 m³/s.

Water Street provided detailed designs, as well as support with the construction including field inspections and design revisions as required for constructability. The project timeline was relatively short to avoid work in the river during the wet fall months.
